In this two-screen video installation Prendre entre les deux (Betwixt and Between) I consider a large public library (the BPI at The Centre Pompidou in Paris), with its large open spaces.
The invisible flow of information and knowledge transmitted there piece by piece is intriguing for both its intensity and its silence.
I adopt the position of a surveillance camera in order to examine, from behind, the people using the space, and to penetrate this silent flow. Sounds recorded on site create a muffled, cyclical soundtrack. The facing projections position us between the two figues, as if in a surveillence control room.
