The subject of children’s playgrounds is in my general interest for public spaces and the issues that underlie them. From an observational perspective on the transformation of these playful spaces that might seem at first sight innocuous, I wonder about the quality of urbanity, the notions of control, the emergence of a certain conformity and the appropriation of urban space. In this corpus I try to create a narrative thread that can evoke possible links between parks for children or skateparks, minimalist sculpture, land art and new urban landscaping.
