The notion of place is my main source of inspiration. 

With wide, contemplative shots, I try to create atmospheres from spaces that we pass through without paying too much attention. 

I keep a certain distance from my filmed subjects, preferring introspective observation.

This time, in a minimalist, direct setting, I engage with others.

Here, immigrants taking French courses at the Centre St-Michel (Sherbrooke, Canada).

A crossing of territories and cultures is implied in this brief space of time between us. Waiting to be reconfigured.
